Sew Much

This new found love of sewing is actually starting to make me some money!! That is good because I recently found, by way of a friend, this store in town that sells high end baby stuff (among other household goods) for at least 50% off retail. Oh happy dance!! I can't wait to buy it all...okay maybe I already started. Oops

I would like to share the many items I have been making lately. I think they are all pretty cute, but I may be biased. Mostly it has been children's clothing 1) because its cute and who doesn't love tiny outfits and 2) by request.

The first item started out as a hem job for my friend and turned into Mother-Daughter dresses. This is a dear friend, pregnant with baby boy, and her daughter at the baby shower. We took a maxi dress and hemmed it at the knee and used the scrap to make her daughter a cute simple dress. easy-peasy.

Below are other pictures of items I have made.

ADPi keychains for Benefit 2011 in Johnson City

Alphie Jewelry Roll again for ADPi Benefit

Inside of Jewelry Roll. The ring holder is magnetic!

Disney themed 1st Birthday Tee

Patriotic Onesies

My fav! Little girl dresses. (size 3T pictured)

And projects with friends:

The first is a matching baby blanket and burp cloth set that I made with my friend the Army Wife. Mostly I just did the embroidering and she sewed. It made for a fun weekend project when the boys were away.

This little jewel is an ottoman, more specifically we made the slipcover to make the ottoman pretty and ready for a nursery. This project was tackled with my friend the Damsel. We hope to have a DIY tutorial put together for this soon. It is in her nursery and looks beautiful. My completed picture from my house doesn't do it justice. I hope you stay tuned for the tutorial!

As you can see, I have been making a lot. I have also been sewing many of Mike's uniforms. That is not so glamorous. He just got all his multi-cam (civi-talk: the uniforms they wear when they are deployed) so now I have another project ahead of me. If only, camo were cute.
